This is no joke, the best smoothie I have ever tasted. EVER. I am in love with chocolate and smoothies and cake batter and zucchini. So why not combine them all together, right?! I guess that may not work well with other things I love, like brussels sprouts and almond butter…hmm. But this combination worked out AMAZINGLY! I mean seriously. This smoothie tastes nothing like zucchini. It has the texture of a thick, creamy batter and the spatula licking goodness of chocolate cake batter right before you put it in the oven. It is just incredible. The butter flavoring (which is surprisingly vegan) is what gives this smoothie the buttery richness that cake batter has. Try topping it with some cacao nibs or blending some in at the very end for a little crunch. YUM!
Chocolate Cake Batter Smoothie

1 medium frozen banana, peeled and chopped before freezing
1/3-1/2 of a medium zucchini, frozen
1 cup almond milk, plus some for blending
1-2 Tbs cacao powder
A few drops of liquid stevia or 1 Tbs maple syrup
1/2-1 tsp butter flavoring
